C-S golf team clips Comstock
on tie-breaker criteria


The Climax-Scotts golf team won its first match of the season by edging Comstock using tie-breaker criteria April 10 at Eastern Hills Golf Course.

The two teams finished with scores of 195, however C-S’ fifth lowest scorer, Carter Pio, finished with a 53 and Comstock’s fifth lowest scorer finished with a 56.

Ryan Pejakovich was low scorer for C-S, posting a 45. Cole Reitz had a 46, followed by Cole Curtis’ 51 and Jackson Bagwell’s 53.

Multiple top 3 finishes helps C-S mens
track team to first place finish at
SCAA Jamboree; women place second


The Climax-Scotts mens track team enjoyed 15 top three finishes and eight first place finishes, helping the team to a first place finish at the SCAA Pittsford Jamboree April 17.

The Panthers, who enjoyed 27 personal records at the event, finished with 178 points, nine points ahead of second place finishing Mendon.

Luke Lawrence, with first place finishes in the 110-meter hurdles (18.07) and 300-meter hurdles (44.25), led C-S. Chase VanMiddlesworth, in the 200-meter dash (24.05), Sam Bleeker, in the shot put (41’00”), Gabe Walliczeck, in the discus (118-04), Miles Shannon in the high jump (5’08.00”) each claimed one first place finish. C-S’ other first place finishes came from the 4x100-meter relay team consisting of Miles Shannon, Logan Gilbert, Josh Walman, and Jordan Grove with a time of 47.95 and the 4x200-meter relay team made up of Maddox Wyman, Jordan Grove, Logan Gilbert and Josh Walman with a time of 1:43.69.

The Lady Panthers posted two first place finishes and enjoyed seven top three finishes, helping the team to a second place finish at the SCAA jamboree.

Pittsford, with 22 top three finishes and 11 first places, ran away with the first place finish, totaling 246.5 points.

Sophie Braithwaite, with a time of 14.24, placed first in the 100-meter dash,  and the 4x100-meter relay team consisting of Paige Amos, Sophie Braithwaite, Paige Fraley, and Addy Reeves placed first with a time of 56.76.
