The Climax-Scotts golf team improved to 5-4 on the season by finishing in fourth place at an SCAA jamboree event April 22 at Ella Sharp Park Golf Course in Jackson.
C-S finished with a 195 and a 4-3 record at the event. The Panthers are now 5-4 overall and 4-3 in the league.
Hillsdale Academy won the event with a 155.
Cole Reitz was C-S’ low shooter with a 47, followed by Ryan Pejakovich (49), Carter Pio (49), Cole Curtis (50), and Jackson Bagwell (53).

The men finished with 30 points, while the women totaled 19 points.
Chase VanMiddlesworth, with a personal record time of 23.17 in the 200-meter dash, had the highest finish for the men, placing second in the event.
Luke Lawrence enjoyed a third place finish in the 300-meter hurdles with a personal record time of 42.76.
Sophie Braithwaite had the women’s highest finish, placing third in the 100-meter dash with a personal record time of 13.94.

C-S men place first at SCAA meet; women settle for third place
The Climax-Scotts mens track team accumulated 14 top 3 finishes, including four first place finishes, helping the team to a first place finish at a six team SCAA event at Athens April 24.
The C-S women finished third behind 10 top three finishes and two first place finishes.
The men totaled 163 points, well ahead of second place finishing Athens (115).
Chase VanMiddlesworth placed first in two events and helped the 4x100-meter relay team to a first place finish. VanMiddlesworth won the 100-meter dash (11.71) and 200-meter dash (23.54 personal record) and joined Ryan DeHaan, Luke Lawrence and Miles Shannon on the 4x100-meter relay team for a first place finish with a time of 45.61.
Sam Bleeker, with a toss of 41’8.5” in the shot put, claimed the other first place finish for the men.
Both of the Lady Panthers’ first place finishes came in relay events. The 4x100-meter relay team made up of Paige Amos, Sophie Braithwaite, Addy Reeves and Paige Fraley placed first with a time of 55.64 and the 4x200-meter relay team of Paige Amos, Sophie Braithwaite, Lillie Edwards and Paige Fraley placed first with a time of 2:01.32.
Pittsford, with 217 points, won the women’s event. C-S totaled 82 points.
