Butzel Long

Butzel attorney Beth S. Gotthelf will be a guest speaker during a NAATBatt Lithium Recycling Workshop on August 7 at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Her presentation is titled, “Overview of U.S. Regulation of Lithium Battery Recycling.” She will address regulations covering the recovery, transportation, and storage of battery waste. This overview will be the kickoff of a panel of senior U.S. and Canadian regulators talking about differing approaches to environmental and transportation regulations related to battery recycling on different sides of the border. Butzel is a NAATBatt member.

Gotthelf is a shareholder based in Butzel’s Troy office. She is the firm’s director of Innovation and External Relations, co-chair of the Energy & Sustainability Practice and chair of the Aerospace & Defense Industry Team.

For more than a decade, Gotthelf has been active in the Aerospace and Defense industries, advising clients in the various legal issues including governmental contracting, ITAR, EAR, bids and bid protests, and Foreign Military Sales, to name a few.

Garcia handles numerous multimillion-dollar cases and has trial experience in state and federal courts and arbitration forums. He litigates cases involving contractual and partner/shareholder disputes, misappropriation of trade secrets and other intellectual property claims, accounting malpractice, and other complex commercial disputes. In his appellate practice, Garcia has argued before the Michigan Supreme Court, Michigan Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

In 2023, Garcia was named by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as a “Go To Lawyer” for business litigation. He graduated from the University of Michigan, with double-majors in economics and political science, and from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School.

Quadrozzi is a trial lawyer with experience trying multimillion-dollar cases in federal and state courts across the country. Her practice includes complex commercial litigation in all areas of business disputes with a particular emphasis in intellectual property, including patent, trade secret, and copyright infringement. Among Quadrozzi’s cases, she represented Oakland County in the City of Detroit bankruptcy.

Quadrozzi is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and member of the Michigan, Illinois, and California state bars as well as numerous federal district and appellate courts. She serves on the boards of the Great Lakes Water Authority and the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority.
