Bar for the Course event set for July 22


The Oakland County Bar Association will present its?2024 Bar for the Course Golf Tournament on Monday, July 22, from noon to 8 p.m. at Knollwood Country Club, 5050 Maple Road in West Bloomfield.

Participants can join colleagues and treat clients to a fun day at the beautiful, historic Knollwood Country Club in West Bloomfield. The day on the championship course will be topped off with lunch, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres followed by dinner and prizes.  For non-golfers, dinner-only reservations are available which include dinner and prizes.

The cost per player $315 for members and $335 for non-members; a twosome is $620 for OCBA members and $650 for non-members; and a foursome is $1,225 for members and $1,265 for non-members. Cost for dinner only is $75.

SBM to host virtual Lawyer Trust Account Webinar



Michigan attorneys will be able to learn how to ethically manage lawyer trust accounts during the State Bar of Michigan’s half-day virtual Lawyer Trust Account Webinar on Tuesday, June 25.

The cost is $25 and the session will cover management principles, recordkeeping resources for client and third-party funds, and practical information regarding MRPC 1.15 and 1.15A. Scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon, the webinar is open to members of the Bar and their legal staff.

Judge Servitto to be honored at Justinian Night


The Italian American Bar Association of Michigan will host its Justinian Night on Thursday, July 11, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Italian American Cultural Center, 43843 Romeo Plank Rd. in Clinton Township.

The during event, Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Eward A. Servitto Jr. will be honored.

The event is open to non-members.  Cost is $85 per person and judges may attend for free. To purchase tickets, visit www.iabam.com.
