Homecoming week at C-S wraps up Saturday

Homecoming week at Climax-Scotts Jr./Sr. High School was filled with activities and fun, wrapping up October 12 with a homecoming dance.

The homecoming theme is “A Starry Night.”

Spirit days were held throughout the week.

Monday was country vs. country club day, Tuesday construction day, Wednesday, class color day (seniors black, juniors white, sophomores orange, freshmen pink, staff purple, 8th grade red, 7th grade yellow, and 6th grade green), Thursday Twin Day, and Friday was Blue and Gold Day, featuring a pep assembly followed by the Panther football teams’ game against Bellevue at 7 p.m.

The powder puff game was held October 9 at Big Blue Stadium.

Representing the freshmen on the homecoming court is Olivia Verile and Easton VanMiddlesworth. Sophomore representatives are Kendal Reitz and Elijah Bowron. Junior class representatives are Leo Bagwell and Holly Talbert. The senior nominees are Micayla DeWaal, Gage Champion, Lylah Parrish, Luke Lawrence, Nora Lynn, Deshon Newton, Nicole Wygant, Logan Gilbert, Olivia VonEitzen and Jordan Grove.

Class themes for the homecoming banner judging contest was: freshmen - Plants; sophomores - Northern Lights; juniors - Galaxy; and seniors - Constellations.

The homecoming dance is scheduled for October 12 from 8-11 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
