Religious Liberty Law Section conducts annual meeting in Troy


The Religious Liberty Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan will conduct its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse, 301 W. Big Beaver Road in Troy.

The section will provide food, drinks, appetizers and plenty of opportunity to network with other members of the SBM Religious Liberty Law Section. There will be a presentation by Timothy Denney on the latest cases involving religious liberties and protections, and the section will vote in new officers for 2024-2025.

The event is free for section members.  To register to get a head count for the restaurant, email rllsmichiganchairperson @gmail.com by Monday, October 21.  For those who can’t attend in person but would like to participate remotely, the section will also send a Zoom link upon request.

Increased state oversight and dealer challenges surrounding warranty reimbursement are top of mind in the automotive industry. Law school hosts Happy Hour in Ferndale, Oct. 22


Wayne State University Law School will host a fall Happy Hour to reconnect and network at Urbanrest Brewing Company on Tuesday, October 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Wayne Law alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends will gather at Urbanrest Brewing Company located at 2615 Wolcott St. in Ferndale.  

Guests who register in advance will receive a drink ticket for a free beverage. Additional beverages are available for purchase at the venue.
