Caroling on the Corner is December 8

By Jo Ramsdell

If we could only travel back in time, to relive a small farm town Christmas celebration as it used to be. To experience the forgotten joy folks once shared. When gathering around for the magical tree lighting, while singing traditional Christmas carols, families created memorable moments. The thrill of horse drawn wagon rides helped to fuel the merriment of the evening, however, that excitement was only the beginning. All year long, children would have dreamed about Christmas, eagerly awaiting a chance to see Santa.

Those holiday festivities were the opportunity for their dreams to come true, as they waited in line for their turn. Those were the celebrated holidays of a different era, or were they?

Traveling through time is not at all necessary, for such a place does exist, “present day.”   Merely drive your family to the heart of Scotts, Michigan, and then follow the crowd. The Scotts “Caroling on the Corner” will be on Sunday December 8th, 2024, at Lulu’s Scotts Corner Cafe´. We invite everyone to enjoy free cookies and warm wassail as we begin this holiday season together.

So, Merry Christmas, one and all!
