Christmas in Climax set for December 7; Caroling on the Corners in Scotts December 8

A reminder that the Christmas in Climax event will take place December 7 and the Caroling on the Corners in Scotts is set for December 8.

The Christmas in Climax event begins at the Climax United Methodist Church where a concert, featuring the Climax-Scotts High School band and choir, will be featured from 5-6:30 p.m. Traditional Christmas carols with group sing a longs will also be a part of this event.

Santa will be at the Lawrence Memorial District Library in the Prairie Historical Society room from 6:30 - 8 p.m., there will be activities for kids and cookies and hot chocolate throughout the evening at Peace Community Church, 134 North Main Street and at approximately 6:45 p.m., a tree lighting ceremony will be held in front of the village Christmas tree.

The Caroling On The Corners event in Scotts will be held December 8 from 6-8 p.m.

The event kicks off with a tree lighting ceremony in front of the Scotts Community Center at 6 p.m.

Lulu’s Scotts Café will then serve as the hub of entertainment the rest of the night. There will be traditional Christmas caroling in front of the Cafe’, Santa will be inside, where more Christmas caroling will take place and free cookies, warm wassail and hot cocoa will be served.

Free rides around the town of Scotts in a horse pulled wagon decorated for Christmas, will once again be provided by Rick and Sue Eshuis.
