New virtual support group for
attorneys to start in January
Meetings take place via Zoom on Wednesday evenings, from 6 to 7 p.m. Meetings will begin Jan. 8 and continue through Feb. 6. All meetings are facilitated by an LJAP clinical case manager.
The schedule of topics will be:
Week 1: Resilience
Week 2: Dealing with Difficult Personalities
Week 3: Conflict Resolution
Week 4: Personal Triggers
Week 5: Executive Functioning
Week 6: Mindfulness and Emotion
Week 7: Guilt and Shame
Week 8: Grief and Loss
Interested participants can attend at any time during the eight weeks and attendance at all groups is not required for participation.

‘Effects of Secondary Trauma’ explored
in MJI webinar
Research indicates that secondary trauma is a significant source of judicial stress. Webinar participants will learn how exposure to another’s traumatic experience uniquely impacts the judiciary and ways to foster resiliency to manage stress and improve overall well-being.

Stretching, screen breaks focus
of ALA meeting
Those attending this wellness meeting will learn about gentle yoga, the importance of stretching and screen breaks, all while learning easy poses easily done while seated at a desk.
ALA members and business partners can attend for free. Guest can attend for $35.
