Levin Center celebrates 10-year anniversary of charter signing
On Wednesday, March 5, the Levin Center for Oversight and Democracy at Wayne State University Law School will hold an open house and buffet lunch to celebrate the signing of the Levin Center’s Charter 10 years ago in March of 2015.
The ceremony will take place from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. on the 2nd floor lobby of Wayne Law, 471 W. Palmer St. in Detroit. Following the lunch, a welcome address and comments will be made to the attendees by Provost Laurie Lauzon Clabo,
Dean Rick Bierschbach, and Levin Center Director Jim Townsend.

‘Common Misconceptions with Child Support Calculations’ examined online
The Michigan Judicial Institute along with the Friend of the Court Bureau is pleased to provide the webinar “Common Misconceptions with Child Support Calculations” on Thursday, February 27, from 9 to 10 a.m. via Zoom.
This webinar is the first in a series planned to address misconceptions/myths in friend of the court related matters. This session will explore issues around many questions, pitfalls, and misconceptions in child support calculations. Attendees will leave with an understanding of factors to be considered in making support recommendations and determinations.
Speaking at the webinar will be Jamie Eichenberg, court analyst, Friend of the Court Bureau; and Paul Gehm, management analyst, Friend of the Court Bureau.

Bar associations gather for Feather Bowling and Networking Mixer
The Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers (ISIAL) and the Italian American Bar Association of Michigan (IABAM) will co-host a Feather Bowling and Networking Mixer on Wednesday, February 19. Participants will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cadieux Cafe, 4300 Cadieux Road in Detroit.
