Macomb County prosecutor’s office to host free crime victim resource event

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office Crime Victim Rights Unit will host “Kinship, Connecting, and Healing for Crime Victims: A Community Resource Event,” dedicated to providing vital support and resources to crime survivors.

This free event will be held on Friday, April 11 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Mount Clemens Public Library, located at 150 Cass Ave., Mount Clemens, MI 48043.

Designed to empower crime survivors, this event will offer valuable insights into the criminal justice system and the extensive support services available to them. It serves as a resource not only for survivors and their loved ones but also for community members seeking to learn about victims' rights and assistance.

“We understand the challenges faced by crime survivors and the critical need for support,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. “Through this event, we aim to focus on the legal process, highlight available services, and offer hope to those impacted by crime.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with experts from the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office, including a crime victim advocate and an assistant prosecuting attorney. Representatives from support organizations such as Turning Point and CareHouse will also be available.

A complimentary lunch will be provided, fostering a welcoming environment where attendees can connect with professionals and peers. No registration is required.
