The award carries a cash prize of $2,500 and an invitation to present the paper at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit.
All submissions for the 2025 award need to submitted by June 1 (midnight). Papers will be reviewed throughout the month of July with a planned announcement in late August. The author of the winning paper will be invited to present their research during the fall semester. To submit a paper, visit https://levin-center.org/research-award.
The Levin Center for Oversight and Democracy was established to carry on the legislative oversight legacy and public vision of U.S. Senator Carl Levin, who represented Michigan in the U.S. Senate for 36 years, longer than any other Michigan senator. The Levin Center is headquartered at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit with an office in Washington, D.C.
