Section conducts Summer Conference at Crystal Mountain

The Real Property Law Section (RPLS) of the State Bar of Michigan will conduct its 2025 Summer Conference Wednesday through Saturday, August 6-9, at Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville, Michigan.

This gathering offers a blend of advanced educational sessions and exceptional networking opportunities tailored for practitioners at all experience levels. Co-Chairs Kevin Hirzel (Hirzel Law PLC) and Kelly Myers (Myers & Myers) invite real estate attorneys to Crystal Mountain Resort to engage with industry experts, explore innovative legal strategies, and address the pressing issues shaping Michigan real estate law.

Thursday, after a legislative update from the RPLS lobbyist, Tabitha Zimny, the conference will begin with an expert panel discussion on artificial intelligence in the legal practice, focusing on practical applications and ethical considerations. Workshops on Thursday and Friday will address the following topics:

Attendees can also enjoy a full array of recreational and social activities, including cocktail receptions, biking, golf, and an Exotic Zoo that is kid friendly. Saturday morning will kick off with a closing keynote speech from Michigan Supreme Court Justice Megan Cavanagh. Afterward, another set of roundtables will conclude the conference.

Cost for the conference is $480 for section members, $540 for non-section members, and $275 for members of the Young Lawyers Section.
