Preliminary exam continued for man facing charges in Clinton Township building explosion, death

Prosecutor Peter Lucido announced on Monday that the court proceedings for Noor Noel Kestou have been continued to Monday, Aug. 25, 2025 at 41B District court.

Five witnesses have been called in court proceedings thus far and the four remaining witnesses are expected to testify next month.

Kestou is facing a charge of involuntary manslaughter, a 15-year felony, in connection to a Clinton Township building explosion and death of 19-year-old Turner Salter of Clinton Township.

It is alleged that on Monday, March 4, 2024, a building owned and operated by Kestou exploded when thousands of nitrous oxide and butane cans were stored in the building.
