Attorneys and staff volunteer at organic urban farm
Part of the farm’s mission is to educate the community in regards to sustainable relationships between human beings and the earth. Earthworks Urban Farm supplies fresh produce to support local, sustainable food supply for the neighboring community and guests of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit.
Earthworks is a program of Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit, Michigan, USA. Together they not only provide meals to Detroit residents, but also strive to create a food-just Detroit, one in which all people have control over their food.
The Capuchin Soup Kitchen is a human service organization inspired by the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi and sponsored by the Capuchin Friars of the Province of St. Joseph of the Capuchin Order.
Panel explores better traffic data for courts July 30
Although traffic cases are not returning to pre-pandemic levels, miles traveled and fatalities are increasing. The multiple stakeholders involved in these cases - from roadside to record update - make the collection and exchange of traffic data challenging.
Accurate traffic data, including statistics on commercial driving cases, is critical to better understand these trends. The National Open Court Data Standards (NODS) offers a framework to guide traffic data collection and standardization to improve the business process for collecting and transferring traffic information.
In this Driving Justice Collective webinar session, the panelists will:
• Describe the flow of traffic data collection and introduce common data challenges.
• Introduce NODS and announce the release of NODS for Traffic.
• Further discuss challenges with capturing traffic and CDL data in the context of: people, business process, data, and technology.
Speaking at the webinar will be:
• Katherine Holt, consultant
• Diane Robinson, principal court research associate, NCSC
• Sgt. Seth Turner, supervisor, motor carrier enforcement unit, New Hampshire State Police
• Moderator Rachel Buck, senior court management consultant, NCSC
