Macomb County Office of Senior Services seeking organizations in need of volunteers

The Macomb County Office of Senior Services is seeking nonprofit and government organizations that are in need of volunteers to participate in their upcoming Volunteer Recruitment Fair scheduled for Thursday, Sept.11 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Robert A. VerKuilen Building in Clinton Township.

There is no cost for organizations to participate in the Volunteer Recruitment Fair, which is part of the nationwide Day of Service and is intended to help pay tribute to, and honor the victims and heroes of 9/11 by promoting year-round volunteerism rather than single-day volunteer engagements.

“This is a great opportunity for any organization that is seeking volunteers to promote volunteer opportunities that are available at their organization,” said Sheila Cote, director of the Macomb County Office of Senior Services. “Last year was the first year we held the Volunteer Recruitment Fair, and were positively encouraged by the public turn-out at the event.”

There is no cost for organizations to participate in this event. Organizations that wish to participate can register online at https://www.macombgov.org/departments/senior-services/volunteer, by calling 586-783-0958, or emailing volunteer@macombgov.org.
