Preliminary exam date set for St. Clair Shores man facing weapons charges

Macomb County authorities say a preliminary examination date has been set for Youshia Pireh, a 43-year-old St. Clair Shores man, facing weapons charges related to an incident that occurred in his Clinton Township, MI gun shop in May.

The exam date for Pireh is Thursday, Sept. 25 before Judge Sebastian Lucido in the 41B District Court in Clinton Township.

Pireh is facing charges of Weapons – Firearms – Discharge in or at a Building, a 10-year felony and Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony, consecutive to main charge.
He has a $25,000 personal bond.

It is alleged that on Tuesday, May 20, Pireh shot a 9 mm handgun four times into a mannequin inside his gun shop, GUNS.

The incident was filmed and posted on Facebook. A tattoo parlor is behind the wall where the mannequin was located. The tattoo parlor was open for business and occupied at the time of the shooting. No one was injured.

"When guns are used recklessly or without regard for others’ safety, the consequences can be severe and we will respond accordingly,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido. “Our office takes any incident that endangers the public seriously, and we are committed to holding individuals accountable when their actions with a firearm put others at risk.”
