The Augusta Car Show, which has drawn 150-200 vehicles in the past, will be held Saturday, August 16 from noon to 4 p.m. in the Augusta Village Park.
Registration begins at 11 a.m. The first 100 entries will receive dash plaques.
There will be seven classes - 1939 and earlier, 1940-1949, 1950-1959, 1960-1969, 1970-1979, 1980-1989, 1990 and newer and an all year trucks class.
There will be food on site at the fire station, where hamburgers, hot dogs, pretzels, chips, and pop will be sold.
Oldies music will be played during the event.
This event is free and there is free parking on the street and on the grass near the park.
There will be a Chief’s Choice Award trophy awarded and prizes for the top 2 in each class will be awarded.
Proceeds from this event goes to the Ross-Augusta Firefighters Association, which purchases fire prevention material for programs at local schools and other wish list items that supports the Ross-Augusta Fire Department.
