Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido has announced that 39-year-old Michael Antonelli was arraigned on a charge of first-degree child abuse.
It is alleged that between May 14, 2025 and June 2, 2025, Antonelli abused his child. On June 2, Lucido said, Antonelli and his wife took their injured child to Children’s Hospital in Detroit. After medical evaluation, it was determined that the child suffered multiple fractures, all indicative of non-accidental trauma.
After an evaluation of the evidence, Lucido said it was concluded that the appropriate charge was first-degree child abuse.
Antonelli was arraigned Thursday in 41A District Court in Sterling Heights . A probable cause hearing is scheduled for August 27.
