Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that Jason Barnes, a 48-year-old Clinton Township man, was sentenced by a Macomb County Circuit Court judge for multiple counts of impersonating firefighter/emergency medical service personnel, and weapons/ammunition charges.

• Two files included a charge of Unlawful Use of a Fire Emblem, a 93-day misdemeanor.

• Two files also had a Habitual Offender – Second Offense Notice, which is an aggravating sentencing factor.

The sentence imposed focused heavily on mental health treatment with the following noteworthy terms:

1. 24 Months of Zero Tolerance Probation.

2. Must undergo a psychiatric evaluation and comply with recommended treatment.

3. Must enroll in counseling.

4. Complete the Cognitive Restructuring Program.
