Scout Troop #265 welcomes new students September 18

Scouting in eastern Kalamazoo county is alive and well. Cub scout Pack 265 in Galesburg is inviting students in kindergarten through 4th grade from the communities of Galesburg, Augusta, Climax, Scotts, Comstock and Parchment to join Cub scouts.

In the past each of the above communities has had its own Cub Scout Packs and Boy Scout Troops however with the exception of Galesburg those communities no longer have their own Scout programs. The Galesburg Cub Scout program will be 60 years old in 2026 and the Boy Scout program is already over 100 years old. They have a rich history of serving the youth in eastern Kalamazoo county.

Cub Pack 265 is a coed program that serves kindergarteners (Lions), first graders (Tigers), second graders (Wolves), third graders (Bears) & fourth graders (Webelos). All of our groups meet Thursday nights (6:30-7:30) at the Galesburg-Augusta Primary School.

A special join Cub Scout night will be held with activities and food for students and information for parents on Thursday, September 18, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Galesburg City Park behind the fire station. All interested K-4 students and parents are invited to join.

For 5th through 12th grades, Scout Troop 265 welcomes Galesburg, Augusta, Climax, Scotts, Comstock, and Parchment students.

The Boy Scout Troop meets Tuesday nights from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Galesburg-Augusta Primary School, 315 W. Battle Creek Street, Galesburg.
