The National Center for State Courts will present the webinar “On the Road to End Human Trafficking” on Thursday, October 9, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Human trafficking is a pervasive crime that affects individuals and communities throughout the country. Courts now have a unique opportunity to help address this issue.
This Driving Justice Collective webinar will discuss NCSC’s free, self-paced e-learning course designed to educate commercial driver’s license (CDL) holders on human trafficking awareness and equip them to act as the eyes and ears on our roadways and report suspicious activities to authorities. The 45-minute interactive course is available for CDL holders to complete as a voluntary exercise, part of a plea agreement, or as a sentencing or supervision requirement. Judges, court administrators, prosecutors and other justice partners are invited to learn how their court can encourage human trafficking awareness among CDL holders through traffic case adjudication, online case resolution, outreach efforts, and other touchpoints.
