A former hospital nursing supervisor and Detroit police sergeant, Drake Peterson was elected to Detroit Recorder’s Court in 1992. ?She was elected to Wayne County Circuit Court in 1998.
She earned a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and psychology from the University of Detroit-Mercy in 1976 and law degree from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1981.
Drake Peterson is survived by son Michael C. Drake; brothers Peter E. Williams, Charles (Patricia) Williams, Dr. Ray (Clara) Williams, Rev. Curtis (Jerolene) Williams; and sister Mamie (John) Solomon.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 27, at 1 p.m. at Selma University Gymnasium, 1501 Lapsley St., Selma, Alabama. Interment will be in Miller Memorial Garden, 500 Hooper Drive, Selma.
Funeral Arrangements are being entrusted by Randall Miller Funeral Service in Selma.
