Eastpointe man arraigned on first degree criminal sexual assault, kidnapping charges

Macomb County authorities have announced that 52-year-old Andrew Logan Williams of Eastpointe was arraigned Monday on multiple charges after his extradition from New York.
William was arraigned before Judge Kathleen Galen at the 38th District Court.

Williams was arraigned on the following charges:

• Two Counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct, First Degree (Person under 13, Defendant 17 years or Older), a life or any term of years felony
• Kidnapping, a life or any term of years felony
• Child Sexually Abusive Activity, a 20-year felony

Galen denied bond and Williams was remanded to the Macomb County Jail.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 15 and a preliminary exam is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 22.

It is alleged that on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, Williams kidnapped a 12-year-old child who was walking near his home.

He sexually assaulted the minor in his home. He then took explicit photos of the minor.

After running from the residence, the minor contacted a neighbor for help who contacted the Eastpointe Police Department.

Upon investigation, it was determined that Williams had abandoned his residence and fled from Michigan.

Williams was found to be in New York.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges and initiated the extradition process. With the assistance of U.S. Marshals, Williams was returned to Michigan to face charges
