Probable cause conference adjourned for woman who allegedly drove car through home, injuring young girl

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido announced late last week that a probable cause conference for 20-year-old Caris Adell Wade was adjourned to await her blood test results from the Michigan State Police.

The conference is is adjourned until Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, at 8:45 am in the 37th District Court in Centerline.

Wade allegedly drove her car through a Centerline home, injuring a young girl.

It is alleged that on Monday, Oct. 13, at 2:55 am, Wade, of Detroit, crashed her vehicle directly into the bedroom of a Centerline residence.

In the bedroom sleeping was a 9-year-old girl and her 22-month-old sister. The 9-year-old suffered serious bodily injuries.

The 22-month-old was unharmed.

After crashing into the home, authorities said Wade then fled the scene on foot but was later apprehended by the Warren Police.

Toxicology results to determine if Wade was under the influence remain pending.

Wade is facing the following charges:

Reckless Driving Causing Serious Impairment Of A Body Function, a 5-year felony

Failure To Stop At Scene Of Accident Resulting In Serious Impairment Or Death, a 5-year felony

Additional charges against Wade may be brought based on the pending toxicology results.

Wade is held at the Macomb County Jail on a $200,000 cash/surety bond.
