Coach hopes playoff experience will be huge lift for program

Ranes led the Rams this season with 1657 all-purpose yards. Evans finished with 1459 all-purpose yards.

G-A coach Chuck Hadley feels this year’s team grasped the ambition to end the long stretch of not qualifying for the playoffs and went for it.
“Believing something can happen is half the battle in making it happen. What this year’s group did is prove to all future G-A teams that making the playoffs is now a realistic goal and soon to become an expectation. You can talk about something all you want but that doesn’t make it happen. To actually go out on the field and beat the teams you need to beat to accumulate the necessary points to qualify for the playoffs will pay dividends for years to come I hope. I don’t want the magnitude of what these boys did to get lost. 28 years is a long time. Yes, we got knocked out in the first round but doing something that hasn’t been done in 28 years is an accomplishment in itself,” said the Ram coach.
Hadley said his message for the returners was don’t be satisfied.
“There was disappointed in the locker room after the game but there was also optimism. We lose some valuable pieces from this team but we also return a lot of talent. If they commit and put the work in during the off-season we’ll start a brand new streak next year. Only this one will be in a positive direction,” adds the G-A coach.
