Three named SAC
1st team All-Conference

Galesburg-Augusta High School Senior Grace Gibson and juniors Lexi Coburn and Lily Gilbert were named SAC 1st team All-Conference recently.
In five conference games, Gibson totaled nine aces, 37 kills, 38 digs, five blocks and one assist.

Coburn excelled as the team setter, finishing five conference matches with 123 assists to go with three aces, three kills, 37 digs and one block.
Gilbert had a team high 22 aces in five conference games, 30 kills, a team high 60 digs, three blocks and 13 assists.

Congratulations ladies.

Eight Rams earn SAC
post season recognition

Five members of the Galesburg-Augusta varsity football team were named SAC 1st Team All Conference and three other Rams were selected All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Seniors Jonah Ranes (running back/linebacker) and Calvin Benard (wide receiver/defensive back) and juniors Patrick Armock (quarterback), Giovanni Evans (running back) and Dominic Corsi (linebacker) were named 1st team All-Conference. Seniors Kameron Prince (offensive lineman/defensive lineman) and Bradlee Hubbard (offensive lineman/defensive lineman) and sophomore Caden Allie (defensive end/tight end) were named SAC All Conference honorable mention.

In 10 games, Armock completed 60 passes out of 111 attempts for 1241 yards. He threw 10 touchdown, three point after attempt passes and was intercepted six times.

Ranes led the team in rushing, totaling 1107 yards on 149 carries. He scored 13 rushing touchdowns, two, point after tries rushing, and four overall. He fumbled twice. The G-A senior was also 2-for-4 passing for 68 yards, including one touchdown pass.

Ranes also had 18 catches for 337 yards.

He added 84 tackles defensively and had 213 yards on 12 kick returns. Ranes led the team with 92 points.

Evans was G-A’s second leading rusher behind Ranes, totaling 642 yards on 111 carries. He scored nine touchdowns, three point after tries and fumbled once. He finished with 84 points. He led the team in return yardage, totaling 387 yards on 23 kick returns.

He added 84 tackles on the defensive side of the ball.

Evans led the team with 430 pass reception yards on 17 catches.

Evans had 57 tackles and had a team high 387 yards in return yardage.

Corsi led the team with 96 tackles, had one fumble recovery and recorded one safety.

Benard caught 13 passes for 322 yards including five touchdown passes and one point after attempt catch.

Allie caught nine passes for 147 yards including one touchdown reception. He added 31 tackles defensively.

Hubbard was selected as an offensive lineman and was a key player helping G-A produce 2531 yards rushing and another 1309 yards passing. 

Prince was selected as a defensive lineman. he had 29 tackles.
