SBM issues alert about phishing scam
The email uses a deceptive email address ending with michbar.org.sendcrp.com, which is not affiliated with SBM.
The email claims to be regarding “a matter that surfaced earlier this week involving a small number of firms,” includes the recipient’s firm, and it requests the recipient confirm their contact information, including name and phone number.
The email is not legitimate, according to the State Bar.
Recipients are advised that they should not respond to the message, click any links, or provide any personal information.
