It is alleged that on Friday, Dec. 5, Anthony Terrell Patterson entered an Eastpointe business with five employees and two customers present.
Patterson displayed a handgun and forced the employees and customers to lie on the ground. Patterson then allegedly robbed each employee and customer of their money and took a driver’s license and a debit card. Patterson then fled the business on foot. He was later arrested.
Patterson was arraigned last week in the 38th District Court in Eastpointe on the following charges:
• Seven Counts of Armed Robbery, each a felony punishable up to life or any term of years.
• Eight Counts of Felony Firearm, each a felony punishable with a mandatory minimum (2) two years, consecutive with and to other sentences.
• One Count for Carrying a Concealed Weapon, a felony punishable up to five (5) years
• One Count for Possessing a Firearm as a Prohibited Person, a felony punishable up to five (5) years
These are the maximum charges available under the law based upon the evidence presented to date; more charges may be brought against Patterson.
Makoski set no bond for Patterson and he was immediately remanded into custody. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Jan. 6.
