The charges stem from repeated assaults on a minor child over several years in Roseville.
Last week, Otayek was sentenced by Macomb County Circuit Court Judge James M. Maceroni. On the first two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct – First Degree (victim under 13, defendant 17 or older), Maceroni sentenced Otayek to 300 to 480 months in the Michigan Department of Corrections. On the third count of Criminal Sexual Conduct – Second Degree (victim under 13, defendant 17 or older), Otayek was sentenced to 99 to 180 months. He received 62 days credit on both sentences which will run concurrently.
Otayek is required to register as a Tier III Sex Offender, which is lifetime registration. He is also subject to registration under Wyatt’s Law, which is a database of individuals who are convicted of criminal offenses related to children. He must also submit to HIV testing and have no contact directly, or indirectly through any 3rd party, with the victim.
