It is alleged that Harris and the neighbor, both residents of the same apartment complex, had an ongoing dispute regarding noise. On Jan. 24, the two became involved in a verbal altercation. Harris allegedly produced a handgun and shot the victim in the abdomen.
Harris was arraigned Monday before Magistrate Ryan Zemke at the 41-B District Court in Clinton Township on the following charges:
Assault with Intent to Murder, a life or any term of years felony
Weapons - Felony Firearm, mandatory 2-year felony consecutive to main charge
These are the maximum charges available under the law based upon the evidence presented to date.
Zemke set Harris’s bond at $250,000 cash/surety. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim. Harris is scheduled for a probable cause conference on Feb. 3.
