It is alleged that on Friday, Jan. 23, Roseville Police Department officers responded to multiple calls regarding a disturbance at a residence on Kathy Avenue involving Waldrep.
It was reported that Waldrep was intoxicated, armed, and behaving aggressively toward his wife, 25-year-old Bryanna Waldrep.
Waldrep allegedly forced entry into the residence, injuring her during the incident. He then barricaded himself inside the home. Bryanna Waldrep was able to escape and sought refuge at a neighboring residence.
It is further alleged that Waldrep discharged a high-powered rifle at responding officers, striking a patrol vehicle and wounding one officer in the head.
The officer sustained injuries that were reported to be non-life-threatening. Waldrep allegedly continued firing from within the residence during an extended armed standoff that required a tactical law enforcement response.
He was ultimately taken into custody without further injury to officers or civilians. Waldrep is currently hospitalized.
