Women’s Bar Association to volunteer at Forgotten Harvest

The Women’s Bar Association, Oakland County Region of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, will conduct a volunteer event at Forgotten Harvest.

Volunteers can join the WBA at Forgotten Harvest on Saturday, February 7, from 9 a.m. to noon to give back to the community together. 

Forgotten Harvest is located at 15000 W. Eight Mile Rd. in Oak Park.  To sign up for the volunteer event, email jacquelineaugust@rocket.com.

Law school hosts Henning Memorial Lecture Feb. 9

Wayne State University Law School will present the Annual Peter J. Henning Memorial Lecture on Monday February 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wayne Law’s Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium, 471 W. Palmer Ave. in Detroit.

Jerold Israel, Alene and Allan F. Smith Professor Emeritus at the University of Michigan Law School, will deliver the lecture.  This lecture will be followed by a reception with hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.

The annual lecture honors Professor Henning (1956-2022), a passionate and beloved teacher, a brilliant legal scholar, an inspirational mentor, and a colleague and friend.
