Four juveniles charged with inciting a riot, malicious destruction of property

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office is pressing charges against four juveniles after an incident at the Michigan Youth Treatment Center in Mount Clemens.

Michigan State Troopers were dispatched to the center on March 11 in response to a call for several disorderly juveniles.

Three juveniles have been charged with the following:

Inciting a Riot, a 10-year felony, and

Malicious Destruction of a Building $1,000 or More but Less Than $20,000, a 5-year felony.

Those three juvenile cases have been transferred to other counties because the juveniles reside in those jurisdictions.

Last Thursday, a Preliminary Hearing was held for the remaining juvenile, a 16-year-old Macomb County resident.

The juvenile is charged with:

Inciting a Riot, a 10-year felony, and Malicious Destruction of a Building $200 or More but Less Than $1,000, a 1-year misdemeanor.
