A trash drop off event for Charleston Township residents only has been scheduled for May 23 from 8 a.m. - noon at the Charleston Township Hall.
Cost per car is $10-$15, truck/small trailer $30 and double axle trailer, $40.
• No tires, dead animals, yard waste, blocks/concrete, shingles or hazardous waste accepted.
• Mattresses & carpet accepted
• Small, loose items must be bagged or boxed or will be rejected.
• Refrigerant emitting appliances must have service tech’s tag attached showing unit has been discharged.
Container for metal recycling will also be available.
Household Hazardous Waste, located at 1301 Lamont Avenue - is free to Charleston Township residents. Materials accepted include: batteries, computers, cleans, gasoline, mercury, oil-based paints, garden chemicals, used motor oil, TVs. Not accepted - latex paint.
