Detroit Mercy Law graduate receives Vivere Ex Missione Award

University of Detroit Mercy School of Law graduate Allura Williams is presented wit the Vivere Ex Missione Award.

University of Detroit Mercy School of Law graduate Allura Williams ’26 was awarded the 2026 Vivere Ex Missione Award. Each year, Detroit Mercy presents the Vivere Ex Missione —“To Live Out the Mission” — award to four graduating students, including one from the School of Law. This award is presented as a surprise at the commencement ceremony.

Williams received this award for her dedication to service to others and strengthening communities. Even before attending law school, she was a dedicated legal assistant at Lakeshore Legal Aid, assisting the underserved and underprivileged with legal issues.

During law school, Williams continued her work, working at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, assisting in the work of restorative justice to build communities.

Deeply committed to her Christian faith, Williams has served as a missionary with the goal of bringing health and safety to all, especially youth, in the community.
