On May 10, according to authorities, officers with the Warren Police Department responded to an animal complaint.
It is alleged that Koss had been paid to care for a dog and that the animal accidentally escaped from her home.
Authorities say Koss attempted to get the dog back inside by kicking it several times and striking it repeatedly in the face. The dog did not sustain any permanent injuries.
Koss was arraigned Tuesday before visiting Judge Michael Chupa in the 37th District Court in Warren on the following charges:
Animals – Cruelty to One Animal, a 93-day misdemeanor
Dog – Stray, a 3-month misdemeanor
Chupa granted Koss a $5,000 personal bond. She was ordered to not have contact with animals that may be considered pets.
A pretrial conference was not immediately scheduled.
