The Black Women Lawyers Association of Michigan (BWLAM) hosted the Harriet Tubman Brunch – Unsung Heroes & Justice Awards on Saturday, May 2, at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit. The brunch featured keynote speaker Fani T. Willis (center) district attorney, Fulton County, Georgia. Happy to welcome Willis to the event were (l-r) BWLAM President Dorothy J. Dean of Law Offices of Dorothy J. Dean, honoree Robyn L. McCoy of McCoy & Associates PLLC, Michigan Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II, Earlene Baggett-Hayes of The Law & Mediation Center PLLC, and Brunch co-chairs BWLAM Vice President Tanisha M. Davis, of Tanisha M. Davis Attorney at Law PLLC, and retired Judge Deborah Thomas.
