The Galesburg Charleston Memorial District Library is currently accepting donations of gently used items for their annual Book Sale. This year’s sale will be Friday, June 19, from noon to 3 p.m, and Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the library which is located at 188 E. Michigan Ave. in Galesburg.
Donations can be dropped off at the library during normal business hours. They ask that all donations be brought into the library. Accepted donations include books, audiobooks, music cds, and dvds, as well as puzzles and games that are complete and in good condition. Donated items should be clean and dry.
Unacceptable items include encyclopedias, VHS cassettes, outdated text or medical books, and any item that is dirty, wet, moldy or otherwise unusable.
Volunteers are needed to help set up the sale on Thursday, June 18 as well as during the event on Friday and Saturday.
