Former Chief Judge Sean Cox of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan was the featured speaker June 2 at the monthly professional staff meeting for the Livonia-based law firm of Foley Baron Metzger & Juip. Cox, who retired from the federal bench in 2025 and now is a mediator and arbitrator for the Detroit office of JAMS, spoke on “Litigation in the Eastern District of Michigan,” offering insight on best practice methods for federal litigantsBoth Cox and McGill have deep family ties to Ireland.
