ATLAW founder shares leadership lessons for attorneys and law firm leaders on growth, client service and organizational culture
Michigan personal injury attorney and law firm founder Dewnya Bazzi will launch her new book, “The Visionary Builder,” on Aug. 6, 2026, during an in-person and virtual program designed for attorneys, legal professionals, law firm leaders and members of Michigan’s broader professional community.
An in-person reception will begin at 5 p.m. EDT in Dearborn Heights. The main program will begin at 6 p.m. EDT and will also be available to virtual attendees through a Zoom webinar.
“The Visionary Builder” examines the leadership principles and professional decisions that shaped Bazzi’s experience building ATLAW into an eight-figure Michigan law firm without relying on traditional advertising. Drawing from her perspective as a practicing attorney, founder and CEO, Bazzi explores the roles of vision, resilience, client service, organizational culture and community impact in building a sustainable, purpose-driven organization.
In addition to introducing the book, the launch program will address the operational and leadership challenges attorneys encounter as their practices grow. Topics include defining organizational values, building teams around shared service standards, strengthening internal culture and pursuing growth without losing sight of client needs or professional purpose.
“Law firm growth is not only about case volume or revenue,” Bazzi said. “It is also about the kind of organization you are building, the experience you create for clients and employees, and whether your decisions remain connected to a clear purpose. I wrote ‘The Visionary Builder’ to share the lessons I have learned while navigating those responsibilities as both an attorney and a founder.”
Bazzi founded ATLAW after beginning her career in personal injury law. As the firm grew, her responsibilities expanded beyond legal representation to include business strategy, team development, systems, client experience and organizational leadership. The book reflects on that transition and the leadership demands placed on attorneys who move from practicing law to managing and scaling a firm.
“I hope legal professionals take away that leadership is built through consistent choices,” Bazzi said. “The standards a firm sets for client service, the way it supports its team and the way it contributes to the community all shape the organization over time. Sustainable growth requires discipline, clarity and a willingness to keep learning.”
The Aug. 6 event is intended primarily for attorneys, legal professionals, law firm owners and leaders within Michigan’s legal community. Entrepreneurs, business owners, community leaders and other professionals interested in organizational leadership and purpose-driven growth are also invited to attend.
