At this year's events in Lansing and Grand Rapids, professionally trained volunteers custom-fitted nearly 800 children with free bicycle helmets, providing safety equipment that can significantly reduce the risk of head and brain injuries.
To further encourage safe outdoor activity, Sinas Dramis also gave away more than 50 bicycles through event drawings, creating memorable moments for local children and families while reinforcing the importance of riding a bicycle that is properly sized for each child.
More than 40 nonprofit organizations, public agencies, first responders, healthcare providers, and community groups offered free activities, educational resources, giveaways, and hands-on experiences for children.
“Sinas Dramis Law Firm’s annual Lids for Kids events are about protecting children and bringing communities together around a simple but important message: wear a helmet every time you ride,” said Bryan Waldman, Sinas Dramis Law Firm president and personal injury attorney. “We are grateful to the many community partners, volunteers, and families who made this year’s events such a tremendous success.”
Waldman is also an avid cyclist and leads Sinas Dramis’ Michigan Bicycle Law program. Michigan Bicycle Law is dedicated to improving bicycle safety, educating cyclists about their rights and responsibilities, and advocating for safer roads throughout Michigan.
The program reflects the firm's longstanding commitment to protecting vulnerable road users and supporting Michigan's cycling community.
Since 2003, Lids for Kids has armed more than 14,000 Michigan children with properly fitted bicycle helmets while connecting families with valuable community resources. The program continues to serve as a cornerstone of Sinas Dramis’ commitment to injury prevention, education, and community service.
Mark your calendar for the 2027 events: May 22 in Lansing and June 5 in Grand Rapids.
