Warren man held on $1 million bond after arraignment on 11 felonies related to alleged possession of CSAM and drugs

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido has announced that Mark Michael Sharrow, 37, of Warren, has been arraigned on multiple felony charges stemming from search warrants related to his arrest for a Third-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct charge out of Houghton Lake.

On Tuesday, at the time of Sharrow’s arrest, his home and cellphone were searched pursuant to search warrants.

It is alleged that sexually explicit videos of minors were discovered on his cellphone. It is further alleged that methamphetamine and LSD were found in his home.

On Wednesday, Sharrow was arraigned before Judge Steven Bieda of the 37th District Court in Warren on the following offenses:

FIVE COUNTS: Child Sexually Abusive Material – Aggravated Possession, a 10-year felony

FIVE COUNTS: Computers - Using To Commit A Crime – Maximum Imprisonment of 10 Years or More but less than 20 years, a 10-year felony

ONE COUNT: Controlled Substance – Possession of Methamphetamine, a 10-year felony

ONE COUNT: Controlled Substance – Possession of Schedule 5 and LSD, a 1-year misdemeanor.

These are the maximum charges available under the law based upon the evidence presented to date.

Beida set Sharrow’s bond at $1 million cash/surety only, no ten percent option.

If Sharrow posts bond, he must wear a GPS tether. He is prohibited from using the internet or any device capable of accessing the internet. Sharrow is also ordered to have no contact with minors and may not enter locations where minors commonly congregate.

Sharrow is scheduled to appear at a probable cause conference on Sept. 1.
