Dave’s Bargains, on South Main Street in the Village of Climax, has not been open for over one year.
There’s been quite a bit of interest why the store has not been open and if it will open again.
Dave’s Bargains owner Dave Perry told the Crescent he has had some health challenges that has prevented him from opening the store.
He said he would like to eventually open the store in Climax one day a week, Wednesday, once he is well enough to make the drive.
“I really miss everybody and I’d like to get down there,” said Perry.
He has kept his other Dave’s Bargains store in Gregory open seven days a week.
Perry said the last time he was open was Memorial Day, 2025.
Dave’s Bargains opened in Climax in August, 2013.
