The Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools Foundation is excited to host the RAMazing Race on Saturday, November 7, at 10 a.m.
This event, which starts and ends at G-A High School, is a fun and energetic community fundraiser inspired by “The Amazing Race.” This event brings together students, families, and community members for a day of teamwork, problem solving, and school spirit - all while raising funds that directly support students and teachers.
The mission of the G-A Foundation: As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Foundation plays a vital role in strengthening educational opportunities at Galesburg-Augusta Schools for all grade levels and students. The G-A Foundation provides:
• Scholarships to graduating seniors
• Classroom grants that empower teachers to bring innovative ideas in life
• Recognition programs for outstanding Middle School students.
These initiatives are only possible through the generosity of community partners.
A team consists of 2 people 18+ years old with a $50 registration fee. Teams may register and find additional information on the Foundation page of the school website at https://www.g-aschools.org/o/gacs/page/gacs-foundation
Categories for RAMazing Race Champions include:
• The first team to complete all checkpoints.
• Best Team Spirit (Energy, enthusiasm, school-community support).
• Best Team Name (Originality, keep it PG).
• Best costume (Creativity and detail).
• Most pop cans collected (Pre-count cans and provide total number of cans at registration).
• Largest financial donations for the foundation collected prior to race.
