Legal Aid and Defender Association Inc. (LAD) recently conducted a free workshop for residents of Wayne, Macomb and Oakland counties on how to represent themselves in small claims court and collect money judgments. Among the speakers at the event at the Warren Public Library was Paula Quarterman (left), a second-year student at Thomas M. Cooley Law School and an LAD intern. She delivered the LAD’s presentation on small claims court at the workshop under the direction of Kelly Bidelman (center), managing attorney of LAD’s Macomb County office in Mount Clemens. Also helping out at the clinic was Kathleen Faba (right), branch librarian at the Warren Public Library.
