Call to Justice awards presented

Elder Law of Michigan recently conducted its 2013 Call to Justice Awards Ceremony at Glen Oaks Country Club in Farmington Hills. This year’s honorees included Peter Lichtenberg of Wayne State University; Ginni Blanchard; Wayne County Probate Court Chief Judge Milton Mack; U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow; Sanford Mall of Mall, Malisow, & Cooney PC; Tom Czerwinski; Lauretta K. Murphy of Miller Johnson; and the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging (OSA). Among those attending the May 7 event were (left to right) Sanford Mall, Peter Lichtenberg, Elder Law President and CEO Kate White, Wayne County Probate Court Chief Judge Milton Mack, Barbara McCallahan, Ben Jeffers of Dykema Gossett PLLC, and Rhonda Powell, deputy director of OSA.  “Our Call to Justice Awards honor people who are dedicated to protecting the rights, health, and economic well-being of  vulnerable adults in Michigan,” White said.  “We’re honoring a number of people who have made a lot of contributions both publicly and behind the scenes to make sure that older adults and vulnerable adults have the protections that they need and the rights that they should have in order to live fulfilling lives.”
