The Electoral college was the subject of an Historical Mock Trial presented last month by the Macomb County Bar Foundation. The trial — with the mock setting a U.S. Senate hearing with audience members playing the role of senators — was held at the Macomb Center for Performing Arts in Clinton Township. Those taking part in the event included (left to right, seated) Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Carl Marlinga; Casandra Ulbrich, Macomb Community College vice president; attorney Laura Polizzi; and Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham; along with (standing) Mickey Switalski, Roseville treasurer; 37th District Court Judges John Chmura and Matthew Sabaugh; attorney Bill Barnwell; and state Sen. Steve Bieda.
