“The Business of the Law Firm” served as the theme of the 4th Annual State Bar of Michigan Business Law Symposium on Jan. 20 at The Detroit Club. The event, coordinated by attorney Mark Rossman of Rossman P.C. in Troy, attracted a crowd of more than 130 participants and an additional 50 who viewed the program online. “And, it went off without a hitch, meaning we actually stayed on pinpoint schedule with 40 speakers and a dozen roundtables,” said Rossman, who already is looking ahead to the fifth version of the event next winter. Among the featured speakers was personal injury attorney Mike Morse (right), the author of “Fireproof: A Five-Step Model to Take Your Firm from Unpredictable to Wildly Profitable.” Attorney E. Powell Miller (left), of The Miller Law Firm, served as the moderator of the roundtable discussion on “Entrepreneurial Strategies for the Pandemic,” while also participating in the panel discussion on “Law Firm Management in the Pandemic.”
