Other local township primary races uncontested

While there is one contested race in Climax Township, three other local township races in the Climax Crescent coverage area are uncontested for all positions on the August 6 Primary ballot.
Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

In Charleston Township incumbent Supervisor Jerry VanderRoest, Township Treasurer Kim Balkema, and Trustee Joshua Balkema will be running on the Republican ticket for four-year terms unchallenged.

Current Clerk Alese LePert and current Trustee Brian Moravek will both be running as independents on the ballot for four-year terms unchallenged.

In Pavilion Charter Township, incumbent Supervisor John Speeter, current Clerk Karen Emily Siegwart. current Treasurer Robyn Maxson and current Trustees Greg Thomas, Dan Frizzo, David Steffens, and Edward Cagney are all running unchallenged under the Republican ticket for four-year terms.

In Wakeshma Township current Supervisor Jason Gatlin is running unchallenged for a four-year term under the Republican ticket.

Current Clerk Shawn Fritz is not running for re-election, however Deputy Clerk Michael Fry is running as an independent candidate for the 4-year position.

Current township Treasurer Leann Munn will be seeking another four-year term under the Republican ticket unchallenged and current Trustees Barbara Thole and Trevor Bennett will be running unchallenged for two four-year trustee seats under the Republican ticket.

Delegate write in candidates have up to and on election day to fill out a form in their precinct to run as a write in.
